Clemson Tigers' Deputy Athletic Director Kevin White is leaving to become the athletic director at Charlotte.
The announcement was made on Saturday morning, with White expected to take on his new role after serving the Tigers since 2022.
He assisted in running day-to-day operations alongside athletic director Graham Neff.
White's departure comes after a disappointing 7-6 season in 2025, with the Tigers looking to bounce back.
He was involved in fundraising for IPTAY, with the annual fund exceeding $40 million annually.
The Tigers will face LSU Tigers on 2026-09-05 in their next game.
Before joining Clemson, White served as Northwestern's Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Operating Officer for five years.
He oversaw a $110 million operating budget and helped with facility financing and contract negotiations.
White's initial major launch into the industry came in 2014 as the Chief Operating Officer for SMU.
He led the Mustangs to their best three-year stretch in program history, going 82-17 and earning multiple top-10 rankings.
Public records show White earned $360,000 annually at Clemson during the 2025-26 fiscal year.
He is likely in line for a pay bump in his new role, with Charlotte previously paying $420,000 as a base salary.
The Tigers will look to replace White and continue their success on the field.
And with the new season approaching, the team is focused on their upcoming game against LSU.
But White's departure will be felt, given his involvement in the team's operations.
So the Tigers will need to adjust and find a new deputy athletic director to fill the void.
